Developing a Corporate College

Albany International (AI) is a global leader in developing highly specialized synthetic fabrics for the paper industry. Complex technical processes require highly trained technicians.

Edu, Inc. designed a corporate college to train semi-skilled workers in the math, science, and technical skills needed by AI to manufacture engineered polymers. The program cut AI's training time in half, increased production, and decreased customer complaints.

Edu, Inc. led the client's staff in building a program of hands-on technical schools including 24-hour on-shift cross training, apprentice-mentorships, train-the-trainer, and videoconferencing.

A Learning Content Management System offers ISO 9001 training modules, multi-lingual media, and custom training plans for each employee. Grants allowed the company to outsource some training to local colleges.

AI's training program is transferable to the company's 22 plants worldwide.
