Increasing ethnic diversity among high-technology professionals

Edu, Inc. was selected to evaluate programs at nine Science and Technology Centers (STC). The goal - to provide research, education, and professional-development opportunities for college students and faculty from ethnic and cultural minorities.

STCs are National Science Foundation-funded, university-based partnerships doing innovative research and education in leading-edge technologies.

As the external evaluator, Edu, Inc. worked with each STC to review its program goals, monitor progress, and document outcomes.

To help the STCs broaden their guidelines, goals, and outreach, Edu, Inc. convened a panel of ethnic-minority educators and community leaders; and interviewed university presidents and foundation leaders who have expertise in promoting diversity in higher education.
